Dear Family & Friends:

We know that life is full of changes.  Change is one of the greatest constants in life.  There is a certain relief in change, even though it could be from bad to worse!  Either way, change could produce stress, happiness, or disappointment.  People change, relationships change, jobs change, technology changes, etc.  Some changes are positive and others are negative.  I remember when my father refused to join a communist revolution.  We had to flee by feet with little food and water; slept anywhere that we felt safe.  Our life was completely changed.

Q273:  What does the Bible say about change?

A273:  You will roll up the heavens like a coat. They will be changed. But You are always the same. You will never grow old. ~ Hebrews 1:12.  I am telling everyone who hears the words that are written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written in this book, God will add to him the kinds of trouble that this book tells about.  If anyone takes away any part of this book that tells what will happen in the future, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the Holy City, which are told about in this book.  ~ Revelation 22:18-19.   As we said before, I will say it again. If any man is preaching another good news to you which is not the one you have received, let him be cursed.  ~ Galatians 1:9

Despite the changing world around us, God is changeless and dependable.  When you feel anxious about change in your life, remember who you are and more importantly, who God is.  The Bible tells us that we cannot have the authority to change the will of God on any subject. We have been given severe warnings in several places in the Bible concerning any changes that we try to make to God's word.  As we have already seen in Galatians 1:6-9, if we pervert the gospel by changing it, we will be accursed.

Today's Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You so much that You will never leave us or foresake us and You will always be dependable.  We appreciate Your unconditional love, grace, and peace.  In Your Son's Holy name, we pray.  Amen.

God bless,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
